National Honor Society

National Honor Society

Open by invitational honor only, the acclaimed National Honor Society selects exemplary juniors and seniors for induction based on the four NHS foundational pillars: scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Inducted students must be actively involved in school events and community service while also maintaining a high grade point average (GPA).

In 2006, the Global Vision Christian School Broadfording’s Colossians 3:17 chapter of the National Honor Society was founded taking the verse as its motto.

“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

GVCS Broadfording NHS students attend monthly meetings addressing the pillars of the National Honor Society. They engage in learning about honorable, remarkable leaders in history and how to apply insights into students personal journeys towards adulthood. The meetings also provide students with time to work on beneficial service projects.

Activities & Clubs

Participating in activities and school clubs enables students to pursue their passions, make friends, and learn about interesting topics. Our goal is to support the variety of interests among our diverse student body.

As of now, our students can build STEM skills through the math or robotics club, learn about business through the DECA business club, or be trained in a skill of their choice in the mentorship club. Our elementary students can participate in drama club or taekwondo (no former experience required). This is just scratching the surface of the many clubs offered!

Options are constantly expanding! We encourage parents, teachers, and students to provide input on other activities and clubs that may help students reach their potential. If you’ve got an idea for a new club, reach out to your teacher or principal.

Elementary Drama Club:
3rd – 5th Grades

This after-school activity meets on selected Tuesdays for those interested in developing their acting skills. Dramas are performed during elementary chapel services.

GVCS Broadfording allows parents, teachers, and students to provide input on other activities and clubs that may help students reach their potential. Creative ideas are encouraged.

Your child will never go hungry thanks to a full cafeteria menu that includes everything from pizza to salad. We believe that full bellies lead to alert minds more ready to learn! Students can pack their own lunch or order from the menu. Daily specials include kid favorites such as pizza, Chinese meals, Chick-fil-A meals, and a variety of other options. A la carte items include salads, hard boiled eggs, hamburgers, hot dogs, grilled cheese sandwiches, and much more.

Full menu listings are accessible to GVCS Broadfording families through the Renweb portal. The cafeteria is also open during GVCS Broadfording sporting events and offers an adjusted menu at these games. The cafeteria is open every day that school is in session, guaranteeing our students need never go hungry.

Health Services

We care about our students physical health. Our wellness team, under the leadership of a supervising nurse, is equipped to handle our students’ health needs, whether that be a sports related accident or a chronic illness like Type 1 Diabetes. A medication technician is also on staff daily to handle the distribution of needed medicine on campus.

GVCS Broadfording follows all current state and federal guidelines related to the distribution of medication in schools. The GVCS Broadfording Parent-Student Handbook also provides policies related to student sickness at school.

Extended Care

For families that need extended care hours, GVCS Broadfording has you covered. No more going through your contacts to see who can bring or pick up your children from school.

Our extended care services operate from 6:30-8:15 a.m. and 3:30-6:00 p.m. An additional fee applies.

Since that time, GVCS Broadfording has had graduates attend colleges around the nation and enter many different career fields.
