Elementary Academics
Elementary Academics
As we hope you’ll see for yourself, one of our main goals is to keep the love for learning alive in each student—and this applies to elementary especially. We identify and address learning differences, enabling us to be creative in our classroom management and instruction. As such, students are empowered to continue learning as they grow.
Classroom philosophy
Often while all students have a desire to learn, they all learn at different paces. If not addressed, underperforming students may become discouraged and high achieving students may become apathetic. This requires us to identify and address learning differences. It also requires us to be creative in our classroom management and instruction.
Extra-Curriculars
Teachers use curriculum maps to deliver appropriate instruction in history, science, language arts, math, Bible and more to each grade level. Students also receive instruction in art, music, library skills, computer applications, and physical education. science, language arts, math, Bible and more to each grade level. Transformative Learning
Our PK-5th grade teachers have been trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach to reading and spelling instruction.
The Orton-Gillingham approach combines direct, multi-sensory teaching strategies paired with systematic, sequential lessons focused on phonics.
